| the house was planned as a weekend retreat, thus had to evolve more outdoor spaces. a large verandah, with a "suspended" thatch roof came about. 'the outdoor flows in', different materials like stone, pine wood, thatch and metal profuse to bring out richness in colour and texture. stones from near by quarry grace the gate, dining, kitchen and the bedrooms. small in size but "large in purpose", this house attempts to align itself with "the earth, the water and the sky". | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
