| elan estates & resorts at kumily, a beautifully contoured site posed us the challenge of blending architecture with its immediate environ so as to create a harmonious whole.Retaining the site in its most virgin form, the dwelling units were raised on concrete branches.....a concept evolved from a simple tree.Implementation of this required a great sense of responsibility towards the surrounding ecosystem & an awareness of local climate, flora and methodology of creating exciting, vibrant images in the landscape. Selective pruning of the green cover enabled in maximising the views from all of the built masses i.e the 20 cottages, the lobby/administrative office, restaurant/ kitchen , swimming pool & the ayurvedic centre. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
