salient features of "halli-mane". halli-mane is a structure infused with light, colour and sense of playfulness. the interiors flow into the exterior harmonizing the participation of the built form with it's surroundings....by extending the serving counters towards the street and by not defining the boundaries, we achieve a perfect stitch between the street and "halli-mane"(village home). mangalore tiled roof and mud finished walls, blend aptly with the surroundings. the use of glass and mangalore tiles on dormers on the roof allow ample light and ventilation. the use of bright colours in the china mosaic walls, floors & structural steel evoke a relaxed and festive air. the large openings in the walls visually allows the customer to participate with the activities on the street. the china mosaic murals on the walls and the grills combine spirited graphics with active figures and is the quintessential representation of the "halli-mane" [village home]. organic shaped ms grills flow like vines in abstract curves, decorating the entire space. |
