local elements of palmyra logs, leaves and motifs of fish and the sun were used extensively in the landscape. palmyra logs provided material for cheap and ecologically sensitive bowers around the site, as well pergolas for walk ways and verandahs, as also rows of bollards for private areas. the empires was to use economical finishes. |
